Megan Valdez, MSW, is the Director of Programs for Hope's Door New Beginning Center (HDNBC).  HDNBC is a domestic violence agency which has served northeastern Dallas County and Collin County for nearly 40 years.  Our mission is to provide intervention and prevention services to those impacted by violence, and to offer educational programs that boost the community’s capacity to respond effectively.  Megan has served children and families in some capacity for nearly 20 years.  Additionally, she serves her community as the co-chair of the North Texas Domestic Violence Awareness Coalition, as an executive board member for the North Texas Coalition Against Human Trafficking, and as an active committee member of the Child Abuse Prevention Coalition.  She is a graduate of Texas A&M Commerce School of Social Work, and lives in Wylie with her husband and two children.
